The GDS Sponsor a Hound Program offers supporters the opportunity to set up monthly donations, providing vital help toward our ongoing expenses. Not ready to adopt just yet? The next best thing is a virtual adoption through our sponsorship program.
Many of the dogs we rescue require months of medical care and rehabilitation. Their injuries are often severe, sometimes requiring multiple surgeries, specialized diets, and ongoing treatment.
Some dogs remain lifelong GDS residents because of extreme fearfulness or significant physical limitations that make adoption unlikely.
Sign up and you will receive a thank-you certificate by email, along with a photo of your chosen dog. Sponsorship also makes a wonderful gift, and we are happy to personalize your message for a holiday, birthday, or other special occasion.
You choose the monthly amount you would like to give and the dog you would like to sponsor. Visit our dog listings to see who captures your heart—or, if you prefer, we would be happy to select a dog for you.
Many of our dogs have more than one sponsor. Sponsorship is symbolic and helps support the care of all our hounds, as it would not be possible to provide individual dogs with additional one-on-one time or special treats.
Consider sponsoring one of our Retirement Home Dogs . The Solera household has become the retirement home for dogs who need a break from the kennels, those with auto-immune diseases and oldies who may never have a chance to enjoy home living. Contact our sponsorship director Wendy for what dogs are there now.
Below, once the PayPal option is selected, you will see a box to check for “recurring payments” next to the field where you enter the donation amount. Please also include the dog’s name in the “Leave a note to seller” field.

PLEASE NOTE: We offer four donation options: one for U.S. donors (where we are a registered 501(c)(3) and can provide tax-deductible receipts), one for the U.K., one for EU countries, and one for major credit card payments. If your country is not listed, you may use any of these options.

RETIREMENT HOME DOGS
We have several dogs living at the Solera Retirement Home—dogs who will remain with us indefinitely due to chronic health conditions or behavioral challenges. It is a much calmer environment than the kennels, where they receive extra attention, comfort, and specialized care.
We do everything possible to ensure they experience love, companionship, and the small comforts that make daily life brighter. Please consider sponsoring one of these special residents—they need your support too.
