Wedgy is a sweet boy that’s misunderstood a bit. He was at another shelter but had bitten likely to pain or an uncomfortable situation. As we didn’t know the reason we waited untill we had a space away from the kennels to put him so we could manage better. What we’ve found is he’s absolutely wonderful, incredibly loving, sweet, great on a lead and very gentle. He seems calmer as an only dog. What we did notice in the other shelter he was a lot more tense in the bigger group of dogs. He seemed unable to settle. Wedgy would love to be in an only dog home or with one other calm dog. Whilst we do not believe he’s a biter by any means I guess it’s worth remembering in very stressful situations he might struggle to cope. This is the kind of dog that if you respect what’s comfortable for him you’ll have the best buddie in the world. He’s 3.5yrs old and looking for a home. Please share — Tina
At the end of February, GDS stepped in to help a smaller shelter by welcoming ten fantastic galgos and two Greyhounds into our care. All twelve are proudly sporting potato-themed names.
Wedgy—one of the lucky galgos—turns out to be a pudding of a potato! Please reach out for information about this big handsome boy.
