This poor boy has so many issues that the small group that rescued him asked for GDS to take him. His problems were too great for them to manage.
Van Gogh has it all against him. He’s really in a bad way and it will take a lot to save him. The biggest problem is his leg, he has osteitas fibrosante with ostecondromatosis asociada. What is that? ‘Synovial osteochondromatosis or synovial chondromatosis is a rare condition in which cartilaginous bodies are formed in the synovial membranes of the joints, in the aponeurosis of the tendons, causing secondary calcifications and ossification that are free in the synovial cavity’.
There is no way to save the leg, it has to be amputated but he’s up against a bad liver for the operation. On top of this he has a testicle up inside, cataracts, open sores and of course his ear needs amputating. So we have two choices, we try to save him or we put him to sleep. His leg will be amputated next week on December Thursday 20th, we have a week to get him a bit stronger. There is a good chance he won’t come through the operation but if the only other choice is to put him to sleep then we have to try. If you agree and would like to help please consider making a donation today towards Van Gogh. How could anyone leave him on the streets like this? Eventually with no intervention his skin will just start opening up, his end alone on the streets would have been horrendous.
