Salva has been waiting a while now. He sadly lost his chance due to a diagnosis of Grade II canine soft tissue sarcoma. The lump was removed but could come back. Is there a home in Spain to take on a worried boy so he doesn’t have to live out his days in a kennel stressed and worried? Prognosis can also be good but living this stressed isn’t good for any dog trying to have a good strong immune system. With good communication we are happy to help with vets bills to remove further lumps if we feel it’s within good welfare to do so. Can you please share? This is so sad. — Tina

At a glance, one would not think that Salva was a scared boy, but he is. With his picture perfect looks, he is emblematic of a classic galgo. Unfortunately, like many classic galgos, he was thrown away into a perrera when he was no longer useful. We hope he will turn around quickly and learn to trust that not all humans are to be feared.
