UPDATE: Nativity is a beautiful, sweet girl who walks nicely on a lead with her three legs. Her amputation was successful and she has had no issues adjusting. Nativity adores sunbathing and even pulls her pillows out of the kennel and places them in the direct sun spots. Rudolph is her roommate and they have the best time together just sitting and watching the world go by. Nativity will be looking for a home soon. Please contact us for more information.

When we got a call about a galga with her leg missing we thought it must be a confusion with Rudolph as the location was on the same road on the same day. However, after Rudolph had been rescued, we got another call so we knew there was definitely a different injured dog out there. Maybe they had been together. We’d been searching non-stop for several days and finally got a night sighting. We set the trap and put out food stations with cameras to encourage her to stay even if she didn’t go in the trap the first time. Luckily she did hang around. Tina’s husband’s dinner did the trick (he still isn’t sure what happened to it). The first attempt at getting her in didn’t go well as a neighbour chased her away but we persevered. Tina together with Nomi, Rachel and of course María José HM and Antonio worked together for the ups and downs and finally succeeded. We have named her Nativity as her rescue was just after Christmas day.
