Careto is 3yrs old and looking for a home. He’s a wonderful boy, very loving but you can’t get too confident because he can freak out unexpectedly. I wouldn’t recommend kissing him in the face or any dog for that matter, but we all know we do it. For this reason Careto might be happier without small children in the home. Careto does love a head scratch and coming to you for cuddles at his own pace. Just don’t force. Sadly Careto has a great disadvantage as he has leishmania. It’s under control but we know it will be harder to find him a home. If he finds a home in Spain we also help with leishmania treatment if needed. He’s a boy, he has leishmania, it already feels like doomsday… let’s not allow that to happen! Please let’s find this wonderful boy a home. — Tina

Careto translates as “face,” and this boy definitely has a handsome one. Brought to us by his galguero, Careto is a bit shy, as change can be unsettling for our new arrivals. We don’t think it will take long at all before he relaxes. If you are looking for a galgo to be your devoted companion, Careto might just be the one.
