Abbey arrived to us terrified but every day she is walked by new people and she's adapting really well. Abbey would make a great companion to any experienced sighthound owner. She's best in a quiet, steady home without young children.
Abbey was rescued by GDS only hours before she went into labor. She'd been living on the streets searching for a place to have her babies. The first delivered fine but Abbey ran into problems with the seconds and had to be rushed to the hospital for a cesarean and delivered 11 although two died. It took a bit of encouragement to reintroduce the babies for suckling and after some persistent encouragement, she accepted them back.
